Anaconda Announces Excel Integration

Anaconda Code empowers users to write Python code directly within Excel and run it locally

Since Python in Excel was introduced in August 2023, a clear piece of feedback we've heard from the community is the desire to run Python code locally on their PCs without having to rely on the cloud.

Today, Anaconda announced a new way for Excel users to run Python code locally on their PCs without having to rely on the cloud. The latest Microsoft Excel add-in introduces AI-driven Anaconda Assistant, a visualization library, and the ability to run Python code locally.

Anaconda Code empowers users to write Python code directly within Excel and run it locally. This eliminates the need to switch between Excel and a separate Python environment, making it easier and faster to develop and execute Python code within Excel.

In addition to running Python code locally, Anaconda Code also provides access to a curated set of Python packages that are optimized for data science and analysis. This includes packages for data manipulation, visualization, machine learning, and more.

Anaconda Code is available now as a free download from the Microsoft AppSource store.
